Tax benefit if jobs given to physically challenged: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Saturday morning said the government will consider offering tax waiver for companies those generate jobs for the persons with disabilities.

She said her government will engage the persons with disabilities in development activities under all ministries. The social welfare ministry has already been given the responsibility to coordinate the matter.

Sheikh Hasina was addressing a meeting at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital. The meeting was organised by social welfare ministry on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, reports ATN Bangla.

The premier also asked the authorities concerned to follow the quota for persons with disabilities properly in case of government jobs.
